Madeira Handy Dandy Needle Ease is a patented needle-changing tool designed to simplify the installation and proper alignment of round-shank industrial embroidery needles. It removes the guesswork from needle changes by helping ensure the needle faces forward before it is installed in the embroidery machine.

To use, hold the Needle Ease with the black set screw facing upward. Pull back the colored collar and slide the new needle into the slot at the tip of the tool. Release the collar, then slowly rotate the needle until you hear or feel a “click.” The click confirms that the needle is properly oriented and ready to install. To release the tool, pull back the collar and slide it off the needle.

Changing worn needles regularly can help reduce thread breaks, production interruptions, and embroidery quality issues. Madeira notes that the average running life of an embroidery needle is approximately eight hours.
