Description
Description
International Coatings Matte Medium Mixing Base 7010 is a low-build plastisol mixing and extender base designed to create softer prints, improve printability, and extend finished ink colors. It can also be combined with pigment dispersions or color concentrates to create custom colors.
Its fast-shearing formula supports higher press speeds, while its extremely short body provides smooth printing with minimal buildup. Matte Medium Mixing Base 7010 can be added to International Coatings 6100 Series, 7500 Series RFU and color concentrates, 7600 Series, and 900 Series inks.
Features
- Creates a softer printed feel
- Extends finished plastisol ink colors
- Compatible with pigment dispersions and color concentrates
- Fast-shearing action supports higher press speeds
- Short-bodied formula prints easily without buildup
- Improves ink flow, printability, and color clarity
- Low after-flash tack
Application Guidelines
- Mesh: 60-230 threads per inch
- Squeegee: 65-70 durometer with a sharp edge
- Cure temperature: 275°F-325°F (135°C-163°C) throughout the entire ink layer
- Cleanup: Use an eco-friendly plastisol screen wash
Creating a Soft-Hand Print
For white or light-colored fabrics, use Matte Medium Mixing Base 7010 as the base and add 5% to 25% by weight of a finished color or color concentrate. Printing through finer mesh counts can produce an exceptionally soft feel similar to a water-based print.
Important Information
Mixing this base with opaque colors will reduce opacity while increasing color clarity. Matte Medium Mixing Base 7010 is not a low-bleed ink and is not recommended for polyester or cotton/polyester fabrics that may be prone to dye migration.
Stir thoroughly before printing and after adding colors or other components. Test for compatibility, cure temperature, dye migration, and wash durability before beginning production.
