Description

International Coatings Glow-in-the-Dark 108 is a phosphorescent plastisol screen printing ink that produces a bright, greenish glow after exposure to light and when viewed in a dark area. It is designed for direct printing and cold-peel transfer applications on 100% cotton and some cotton/polyester blends.

Glow-in-the-Dark 108 is ready to use directly from the container. Its transparent formula performs best on white garments or when printed over a white underbase. A heavier ink deposit increases the brightness and duration of the glow, which may remain visible from approximately 15 minutes to two hours depending on light exposure and viewing conditions.

Features

  • Produces a bright, greenish phosphorescent glow
  • Suitable for direct printing and cold-peel transfers
  • Ready to use straight from the container
  • Recommended for 100% cotton and some cotton/polyester blends
  • Works best on white fabric or over a white underbase
  • Heavier ink deposits provide brighter, longer-lasting glow

Application Guidelines

  • Mesh: 60-230 threads per inch
  • Squeegee: 65-75 durometer with a sharp edge
  • Cure temperature: 325°F (163°C) for approximately one minute, depending on dryer speed and settings
  • Reducer: If necessary, add 1% to 5% by volume of 1110 Curable Reducer
  • Cleanup: Use an eco-friendly plastisol screen wash

Important Information

This product is not a low-bleed ink. Always test the fabric for dye migration before production. Do not cure above 330°F (166°C), as excessive heat can damage the phosphorescent pigment and reduce its ability to glow. Adding excessive reducer, soft-hand additive, or clear base may also diminish opacity and glow.

Stir thoroughly before printing and after adding any reducer or additive. Test dryer temperatures and wash test the finished garment before and during production.
