ASI Brittle Inks – Cracked & Distressed Plastisol Effect Ink

Create authentic vintage, cracked paint, and distressed print effects with ASI Brittle Inks from Avient Specialty Inks. These specialty plastisol inks are formulated to fracture and crack when the printed garment is stretched or manipulated, producing a worn, weathered appearance ideal for fashion, retail, and vintage-inspired apparel.

ASI Brittle Inks offer excellent fabric adhesion, wash durability, and a unique hard-wearing finish while remaining easy to print. Available as Brittle Base and Brittle White, these inks can be tinted with plastisol colorants to create virtually unlimited custom colors.

Recommended Printing Parameters

• Mesh Count: 86–110 t/in (34–43 t/cm)
• Squeegee: 70/90/70 or 70 durometer
• Flash Temperature: 220°F (105°C)
• Cure Temperature: 340–350°F (170–175°C)
• Print directly to fabric for maximum cracking effect

For best results, use a generous ink deposit and stretch the print after cooling to achieve the desired distressed appearance.
