Avient K2580 FX Sculpture Base

Avient Infinite FX 2580 Sculpture Base is a specialty plastisol base formulated for high-density printing with a firm, sculpted texture and exceptional edge definition. Designed to maintain structure and shape in dimensional prints, Sculpture Base allows printers to create bold, raised graphics while preserving fine details and sharp corners, even in demanding high-density applications.

This versatile specialty base can produce either smooth or textured surfaces depending on mesh selection and printing parameters. Sculpture Base can be used alone or intermixed with other Infinite FX bases to create unique visual and tactile effects. It is tintable with plastisol colorants, making it ideal for custom color creation and specialty garment decoration on cotton, cotton blends, and select synthetic fabrics.

Printing Tips

• Use 86–230 mesh screens depending on desired texture and ink deposit.
• For maximum high-density effects, use 200–400 micron capillary film and a print-flash-print technique.
• Apply a heavy flood stroke and medium squeegee pressure for best dimensional results.
• Best results are achieved when printing over a flash-dried underbase, although direct printing is also possible.
• Adjust off-contact settings to imprint mesh patterns into the ink for unique textured effects.
• Reduce white colorant percentages when tinting, as Sculpture Base naturally lightens colors.
• Use Sculpture Base alone for firm dimensional prints or combine with other Infinite FX bases for custom specialty effects.
• Flash at 220°F (105°C) and cure at 320°F (160°C).
