ASI SILVER SHIMMER LC

ASI Silver Shimmer is a ready-for-use plastisol screen printing ink formulated with fine-to-medium metallic flakes to create a brilliant silver shimmer effect. It produces a smooth, soft-feeling finish rather than the solid, mirror-like appearance of a traditional metallic ink.

Silver Shimmer provides excellent fabric adhesion, stretch, and wash durability. It can be printed directly onto fabric or over a flashed underbase. The ink can also be tinted with compatible plastisol colorants to create customized shimmer effects.

Recommended Printing Parameters:

• Mesh: 86-110 threads per inch

• Screen tension: 25-35 N/cm²

• Squeegee: 60/90/60 or 60-70 durometer

• Squeegee profile: sharp, square edge

• Flash temperature: 220°F

• Cure temperature: 270°F through the entire ink film

Stir the ink thoroughly before printing. For multicolor designs, print Silver Shimmer in the last position or flash after each color.

Metallic flakes reflect infrared heat, so a forced-air dryer is recommended. When using an electric dryer, additional dwell time may be necessary to achieve a complete cure. Use a suitable underbase on garments prone to dye migration and always test the ink, garment, underbase, and curing process before production.
