ASI Liquid Mirror Gold Plastisol Ink

ASI Liquid Metallics are ready-for-use plastisol inks formulated with very fine metallic flakes to produce an opaque, wet-looking chrome or gilded gold effect with a smooth surface and soft feel. The series includes Liquid Silver, Rich Gold, Mirror Gold and Pale Gold.

Recommended Fabrics

Designed for printing on 100% cotton, cotton blends and certain synthetic fabrics. When printing garments prone to dye migration, use a suitable underbase and test before production.

Printing Recommendations

• Stir thoroughly before printing.
• Recommended mesh: 86-160 threads per inch
• Recommended squeegee: 60/90/60 or 60-70 durometer
• Use high-tension mesh and a print-flash-print technique for best results.
• Print directly onto fabric or over a flashed underbase.
• Print metallic ink last or flash after each color when using multiple screens.

Curing

Cure the entire ink film between 270°F and 320°F. Metallic pigments reflect infrared heat, so a forced-air dryer is recommended. When using an electric dryer, additional dwell time may be necessary to achieve a complete cure.

Care Instructions

Metallic inks may tarnish when exposed to detergents or water containing bleaching or whitening agents. For best results, wash the garment inside out in cold water using phosphate-free detergent, then air dry or line dry.
