Preparing Your Shop Before You Buy

A production printer needs more than an open corner and an electrical outlet. Plan the room before the equipment arrives.

Shop preparation: confirm electrical requirements, operating clearance and delivery access, the recommended temperature and humidity range, and filtration requirements for the selected system.

Area What to Plan For
Printer footprint Machine width, front/rear access, maintenance access, operator movement.
Shaker / dryer Film path, curing workflow, extraction placement, safe service access.
Supply storage Clean, organized storage for film, ink, powder, cleaners, and replacement parts.
Finished transfers Protected storage, labeling, job tracking, and dust control.
Heat press area Garment staging, pressing, cooling, folding, and quality control.
Packing / shipping Boxes, labels, mailers, pickup area, and finished-order storage.

Electrical Requirements

Verify voltage, amperage, plug type, dedicated-circuit requirements, and the combined load of the printer, shaker, dryer, extraction equipment, heat presses, and environmental controls before purchase. The Audley 2-head, 4-head, and 6-head systems offered by Dynamic Supply all require 220V power. Exact electrical requirements for the selected configuration should be confirmed before the room is prepared.

Filtration and Air Management

Audley DTF systems use a built-in three-stage filtration system, so standard external shop ventilation is not normally required. Buyers should still plan adequate room space, normal air circulation, temperature and humidity control, and follow the current installation requirements for the specific system being purchased.

Temperature and Humidity

Environmental stability can affect ink behavior, printheads, film, static, and production consistency. Ask the equipment supplier for the recommended operating range and determine whether the production room can maintain it throughout the year.

Delivery Note: Before ordering, measure doorways and the complete delivery path to the production area. Confirm that the printer, shaker, and other equipment can fit through all doors, hallways, turns, elevators, or other restricted areas. Floor space for the equipment does not necessarily mean the equipment can be moved into the room.

Facility Rule: The best time to discover a power, ventilation, space, or HVAC requirement is before the equipment is delivered.
