Printing Tips

• Use 86–230 mesh screens for optimal opacity and print performance.
• For dark garments, use a print-flash-print technique for maximum coverage.
• For difficult polyester fabrics, use a barrier underbase such as Union Ink UPLC1550 Barrier Grey or UPLC8550 Barrier Black.
• Flash only until the ink is dry to the touch. Excessive flash temperatures may promote dye migration.
• Pre-shear or agitate ink before use to achieve optimal flow characteristics.
• Use medium to low squeegee pressure and allow the ink to clear fully on the second stroke.
• Curing is a time and temperature process. Lower temperatures with slower belt speeds often produce the best results while protecting the fabric.
