Printing Tips

• Use 86–230 mesh screens for optimal performance and opacity.
• For best results, use a print-flash-print technique to ensure sufficient ink deposit on dark fabrics.
• For difficult polyester fabrics, use Union Ink UPLC1550 Low Cure Barrier Grey or UPLC8550 Barrier Black as a barrier underbase.
• Adjust flash temperatures so the ink is just dry to the touch. Excessive flash temperatures can increase dye migration.
• Pre-shear or agitate the ink before use. Avoid high-speed mixing equipment that can generate heat and begin curing the ink.
• Use medium to low squeegee pressure and adjust settings as the ink shears down during production.
• Curing is a time-and-temperature process. Lower temperatures with slower belt speeds often provide the best results while protecting the garment.
